The Say Know Initiative began as a quiet hope—a vision held by Faith, who previously worked as a Peer Support Specialist supporting individuals living with mood disorders. Through that work, she saw firsthand how powerful it was when people were given the right tools to understand and manage their Bipolar Disorder. She became further interested in self-management programs that could complement medical treatment, while simultaneously giving people more agency and confidence in their journey.
Later, as a medical student, Faith found a kindred spirit in Pam, a classmate equally passionate about mental health. Together, they dreamed of creating an accessible and empowering community-based psychoeducation program.
With the encouragement and support of Florence, founder of SOAR and a long-time friend of Faith, that dream began to take shape. What started as a conversation between friends became a movement to bring light, understanding, and hope to those navigating mental health conditions.
And so, the Say Know Initiative was born!
We believe that instead of saying no to mental health conditions, we can Say Know—and with knowledge, comes strength, clarity, and the courage to thrive.
